About Film Club

Film Club is a (pop-up) DVD rental shop born out of a love for the video store experience - the kind that led you somewhere you weren’t expecting, but maybe needed to arrive at … a far cry from today’s streaming algorithms and the scrolling fatigue it perpetuates.

It’s not that we’re anti-streaming, but you have to admit, along with the endless scroll, those ads sure do get annoying!

Founded in Durham, NC in 2026 by filmmaker Camila Moreiras as a proof-of-concept pop-up, Film Club LLC is happy to share our growing, ad-free collection of art house, experimental, general interest, and classic cinema from around the world.

**For those who shoot on film, Film Club has film stock available for sale at the pop-ups. Check out our Merch + Film Stock page to see what we’re currently offering.

She grew up right here in Durham, NC — where one of her first jobs as a teenager was working at a local video store.
